This is laughable considering that Cerberus's $7.4 billion in Chrysler is in no danger of making a profit. Becoming worthless in bankruptcy reorganization yes but a profit? Not a chance in this lifetime. This is just another attempt by the super smart and conniving Steve Feinberg to try to change the political winds in his favor.

Cerberus's investment will be zero in a reorganization and he knows that. Do you think he will be out saying "they know nothing" let these guys fail?

How about and this is my personal favorite. Do you think they will start calling it the "GE Bubble". It doesn't surprise me that GE is in trouble. If you look back on my posts on this subject I was calling for GE trouble.

Personally, I want to see them have a hour long special on "Saving GE". One thing I bet we don't hear on CNBC is "Why should we support these guys if they are a failed enterprise"

I suspect they will stop calling themselves "Squawckovia". scheme='http://www.blogger.com/atom/ns#' term='politics'/>
How to fight effectively

If you want to have an effect in the fight against Obama there is a saying you should keep in mind while you fight. "Hold your friends close and your enemies closer". By that I mean, embrace your target. The best way to punish someone rich is to make them poor.

I don't know if you have noticed as I have that web ads are everywhere promoting Obama. In fact, there is probably one being served as you read this on this blog. He has ads offering Obama pins, signs, and the like. I hope you realize that these ads are paid ads and they actually cost the sponsor money. In other words, if you click he pays. Clicking on ads that support Obama doesn't mean you have to vote for him and it won't somehow make you a bad person. I routinely sign up for buttons, signs, and tshirts. They send them for free. When they show up in the mail I usually throw the buttons and signs away and give the shirts to the homeless.

Now of course the folks at Google are smart folks and if you click and click it doesn't do anything but if you "click through" meaning they delivered you as someone who is interested he gets billed. So here is your chance to actually help Obama help the poor. Examine every ad you see from Obama and sign up for all his give aways. If you get something like a shirt give it to the homeless and the rest.....well it is fall and those signs sure do make good (but somewhat expensive) fire starters! If you love McCain help him by learning all you can about Obama....If you get my drift.

Earmarks and Politics

Remarkably, Barack Obama has decided to take on John McCain on the subject of earmarks. This is somewhat like Al Capone taking on Frank Nitti on the subject of bootlegging. The McCain campaign released this response:

While Senator McCain has never requested a single earmark, Senator Obama has requested nearly a billion dollars worth during his short time in office. Though Senator Biden has been in the Senate for 36 years, he has only disclosed his earmarks for one year.
Senator Obama increased his earmark requests during each of his first three years in office. Governor Palin has cut requests for earmarks for Alaska by $150 million since entering office, and she has cut those requests every single year. She has also vetoed a half billion dollars in wasteful spending at the state level.

One might ask, what makes Obama think he can get away with this nonsense, when the facts are the precise opposite of his claims? But you know the answer to that question.

Why did KDB / Lehman Deal Fell apart?

I'm hearing the KDB-Lehman deal fell through because they wanted to change the name to "Seoul Brothers"

Sarah Palin Photo holding a rifle

I was thinking now this is a woman I would love to see in the white house. My kinda gal, good looking, gun carrying babe! But Alas, Factcheck.org has once again done their home work and exposed the photo as another fake. Their post is pasted below. Good work Factcheck.

Q:

Is that a real photo of Sarah Palin holding a rifle and wearing a bikini?

A:

It's a fake - Palin's head on the body of a woman who posed for it in 2004 as a joke. We have the full story of how this image was created and spread like a virus, fooling many.

A picture may be worth 1,000 words, but that doesn't make it true. Soon after Sen. John McCain named Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin as his running mate, a faked photo began to circulate showing a grinning Palin wearing a red, white and blue bikini and holding a rifle with a telescopic sight. It was quickly exposed as phony by blogger John Hawkins of Right Wing News, who said he examined the photo in a graphic program and determined that Palin's head was "pasted on" the body of another woman. Hawkins later located the original shot of the actual bikini-wearing gun-toter. But there's even more to the story – and FactCheck.org has the details.

Faked photo using Sarah Palin's head on body of a 22-year-old woman

Original photo of "Elizabeth" by Addison Godel, copyright 2004. He says it was a gag shot. The friend who posed for it, whom he identifies only as "Elizabeth," was 22 years old at the time and intended it as a spoof of flag-waving, gun-toting persons with whom she disagreed politically. The weapon pictured is not even an actual firearm. "It was definitely not a real rifle," Godel told us in an exchange of e-mails. It looks to us like an air-powered pellet rifle, but Godel says he doesn't recall whether it was a pellet gun or a BB gun.

Going Viral

Godel says he uploaded the photo to his public flickr.com Web page in 2006, but that he's not the one who pasted on Palin's head. Responsibility for that has been claimed by another person, who describes herself as "a recently laid-off soul with way too much time on her hands." Posting under the name of "Innocuous Fun," she states: "I was the brazen Photoshopper that doctored the image. I created the image this past Saturday [Aug. 30] and posted it to my Facebook blog." Elsewhere, she posted a screen shot of that private Web page to back up her account. "To be honest, I didn't think ANYONE would see this photo except my friends." But somebody copied the fake photo and it began to spread like a virus: "faster than herpes in a celebrity rehab clinic."

We contacted "Innocuous Fun," who has given us permission to say that her real first name is Naomi, and that she is a 27-year-old, unemployed Web site editor who lives in New York City. We're withholding other personal information at her request. Naomi tells us she got the idea after hearing that McCain's surprise pick for vice president was a former beauty queen and lifetime member of the National Rifle Association. Recalling the "Elizabeth" shot which she had seen earlier, she searched the Internet quickly for a head shot of Palin that had somewhat similar lighting and created the composite image using the Adobe Photoshop program in about 15 minutes.

Although only 289 people have access to the image on her private Facebook page, Naomi was not all that surprised to see it used elsewhere. "I did say, 'If you want to pass this on, feel free.' " But she says she was amazed at how rapidly and widely it got around. "I had no idea it had spread as far as it did until brother called me at 3am to tell me my picture was on the Huffington Post," she says.

This image has been exposed as a fake numerous times elsewhere. Nevertheless, we continue to receive inquiries from persons wondering if the photo is real, and we have seen Internet postings passing it off as authentic.

As Naomi notes in one of her postings, "Alas, people believe what they want to believe, especially in an election year, and this little exercise in Photoshopping is no exception."

We say "Amen" to that.

-Brooks Jackson

Sarah Palin: Facts and Fiction; Staying on top of the Smear Campaign

Trying to stay on top of the smear and spin campaign by the liberal left and the biased media is a full time job. I have found this site to be unbiased and very accurate on the facts. I recommend making it a regular stop for fact checking: Check Your Facts

False Internet claims and rumors fly about McCain's running mate.

Summary

We’ve been flooded for the past few days with queries about dubious Internet postings and mass e-mail messages making claims about McCain’s running mate, Gov. Palin. We find that many are completely false, or misleading.

Palin did not cut funding for special needs education in Alaska by 62 percent. She didn’t cut it at all. In fact, she tripled per-pupil funding over just three years.

She did not demand that books be banned from the Wasilla library. Some of the books on a widely circulated list were not even in print at the time. The librarian has said Palin asked a "What if?" question, but the librarian continued in her job through most of Palin's first term.

She was never a member of the Alaskan Independence Party, a group that wants Alaskans to vote on whether they wish to secede from the United States. She’s been registered as a Republican since May 1982.

Palin never endorsed or supported Pat Buchanan for president. She once wore a Buchanan button as a "courtesty" when he visited Wasilla, but shortly afterward she was appointed to co-chair of the campaign of Steve Forbes in the state.

Palin has not pushed for teaching creationism in Alaska's schools. She has said that students should be allowed to "debate both sides" of the evolution question, but she also said creationism "doesn't have to be part of the curriculum."

A few of these claims were included in a chain e-mail by a woman named Anne Kilkenny. We'll be looking into other charges in that e-mail for a future story. For more explanation of the bullet points above, please read the Analysis.

Analysis

Since Republican presidential nominee John McCain tapped Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin to be his running mate, information about Palin's past has been zipping around the Internet. Several claims are not true, and other rumors are misleading.

No Cut for "Special Needs" Kids

It's not true, as widely reported in mass e-mails, Web postings and at least one mainstream news source, that Palin slashed the special education budget in Alaska by 62 percent. CNN's Soledad O'Brien made the claim on Sept. 4 in an interview with Nicolle Wallace, a senior adviser to the McCain campaign:

O'Brien, Sept. 4: One are that has gotten certainly people sending to me a lot of e-mails is the question about as governor what she did with the special needs budget, which I'm sure you're aware, she cut significantly, 62 percent I think is the number from when she came into office. As a woman who is now a mother to a special needs child, and I think she actually has a nephew which is autistic as well. How much of a problem is this going to be as she tries to navigate both sides of that issue?

Such a move might have made Palin look heartless or hypocritical in view of her convention-speech pledge to be an advocate for special needs children and their families. But in fact, she increased special needs funding so dramatically that a representative of local school boards described the jump as "historic."

According to an April 2008 article in Education Week, Palin signed legislation in March 2008 that would increase public school funding considerably, including special needs funding. It would increase spending on what Alaska calls "intensive needs" students (students with high-cost special requirements) from $26,900 per student in 2008 to $73,840 per student in 2011. That almost triples the per-student spending in three fiscal years. Palin's original proposal, according to the Anchorage Daily News, would have increased funds slightly more, giving intensive needs students a $77,740 allotment by 2011.

Education Week: A second part of the measure raises spending for students with special needs to $73,840 in fiscal 2011, from the current $26,900 per student in fiscal 2008, according to the Alaska Department of Education and Early Development.

Unlike many other states, Alaska has relatively flush budget coffers, thanks to a rise in oil and gas revenues. Funding for schools will remain fairly level next year, however. Overall per-pupil funding across the state will rise by $100, to $5,480, in fiscal 2009. ...

Carl Rose, the executive director of the Association of Alaska School Boards, praised the changes in funding for rural schools and students with special needs as a "historic event," and said the finance overhaul would bring more stability to district budgets.

According to Eddy Jeans at the Alaska Department of Education and Early Development, funding for special needs and intensive needs students has increased every year since Palin entered office, from a total of $203 million in 2006 to a projected $276 million in 2009.

Those who claim that Palin cut special needs funding by 62 percent are looking in the wrong place and misinterpreting what they find there. They point to an apparent drop in the Department of Education and Early Development budget for special schools. But the special schools budget, despite the similar name, isn't the special needs budget. "I don’t even consider the special schools component [part of] our special needs funding," Jeans told FactCheck.org. "The special needs funding is provided through our public school funding formula. The special schools is simply a budget component where we have funding set aside for special projects," such as the Alaska School for the Deaf and the Alaska Military Youth Academy. A different budget component, the Foundation Program, governs special needs programs in the public school system.

And in any case, the decrease in funding for special schools is illusory. Palin moved the Alaska Military Youth Academy's ChalleNGe program, a residential military school program that teaches job and life skills to students under 20, out of the budget line for "special schools" and into its own line. This resulted in an apparent drop of more than $5 million in the special schools budget with no actual decrease in funding for the programs.

Not a Book Burner

One false rumor accuses then-Mayor Palin of threatening to fire Wasilla’s librarian for refusing to ban books from the town library. Some versions of the rumor come complete with a list of the books that Palin allegedly attempted to ban. The story is false on several fronts: Palin never asked that books be banned; the librarian continued to serve in that position; no books were actually banned; and many of the books on the list that Palin supposedly wanted to censor weren't even in print at the time, proving that the list is a fabrication.

It’s true that Palin did raise the issue with Mary Ellen Emmons, Wasilla’s librarian, on at least two occasions. Emmons flatly stated her opposition both times. But, as the Mat-Su Valley Frontiersman (Wasilla’s local paper) reported at the time, Palin asked general questions about what Emmons would say if Palin requested that a book be banned. According to Emmons, Palin "was asking me how I would deal with her saying a book can't be in the library." Emmons reported that Palin pressed the issue, asking whether Emmons' position would change if residents were picketing the library. Wasilla resident Anne Kilkenny, who was at the meeting, corroborates Emmons' story, telling the Chicago Tribune that "Sarah said to Mary Ellen, 'What would your response be if I asked you to remove some books from the collection?' "

Palin characterized the exchange differently, initially volunteering the episode as an example of discussions with city employees about following her administration's agenda. Palin described her questions to Emmons as “rhetorical,” noting that her questions "were asked in the context of professionalism regarding the library policy that is in place in our city." Actually, true rhetorical questions have implied answers (e.g., “Who do you think you are?”), so Palin probably meant to describe her questions as hypothetical or theoretical. We can't read minds, so it is impossible for us to know whether or not Palin may actually have wanted to ban books from the library or whether she simply wanted to know how her new employees would respond to an instruction from their boss. It is worth noting that, in an update, the Frontiersman points out that no book was ever banned from the library’s shelves.

Moreover, although Palin fired Emmons as part of a "loyalty" purge, she rehired Emmons the next day, and Emmons remained at her job for two-and-a-half more years. Actually, Palin initially requested Emmons’ resignation in October 1996, four days before the public discussion of censorship. That was at the same time she requested that all four of Wasilla’s department heads resign. Palin described the requests as a loyalty test and allowed all four department heads to retain their positions. But on Jan. 30, 1997, three months after the censorship discussion, Palin informed Emmons and Wasilla’s police chief, Irv Stambaugh, that they would be fired. According to the Chicago Tribune, Palin did not list censorship as a reason for Emmons’ firing. Palin rehired Emmons the following day. Emmons continued to serve as librarian until August 1999, when the Chicago Tribune reports that she resigned.

So what about that list of books targeted for banning, which according to one widely e-mailed version was taken “from the official minutes of the Wasilla Library Board”? If it was, the library board should take up fortune telling. The list includes the first four Harry Potter books, none of which had been published at the time of the Palin-Emmons conversations. The first wasn't published until 1998. In fact, the list is a simple cut-and-paste job, snatched (complete with typos and the occasional incorrect title) from the Florida Institute of Technology library Web page, which presents the list as “Books banned at one time or another in the United States.”

Closet Secessionist?

Palin was never a member of the Alaskan Independence Party – which calls for a vote on whether Alaska should secede from the union or remain a state – despite mistaken reports to the contrary. But her husband was a member for years, and she attended at least one party convention, as mayor of the town in which it was held.

The party's chair originally told reporters that Palin had been a member, but the official later retracted that statement. Chairwoman Lynette Clark told the New York Times that false information had been given to her by another member of the party after she first told the Times and others that Palin joined the AIP in 1994. Clark issued an apology on the AIP Web site.

The director of Alaska’s Division of Elections, Gail Fenumiai, confirms that Palin registered to vote in the state for the first time in May 1982 as a Republican and hasn’t changed her party affiliation since. She also told FactCheck.org that Palin’s husband, Todd, was registered with AIP from October 1995 to July 2000, and again from September 2000 until July 2002. (He has since been registered as undeclared.) However, the AIP says Todd Palin "never participated in any party activities aside from attending a convention in Wasilla at one time."

There is still some dispute as to whether Sarah Palin also attended the AIP’s 1994 convention, held in Wasilla. Clark and another AIP official told ABC News’ Jake Tapper that both Palins were there. Palin was elected mayor of Wasilla two years later. The McCain campaign says Sarah Palin went to the 2000 AIP convention, also held in Wasilla, “as a courtesy since she was mayor.” As governor, Palin sent a video message to the 2008 convention, which is available on YouTube, and the AIP says she attended in 2006 when she was campaigning.

Didn't Endorse Pat Buchanan

Claims that Palin endorsed conservative Republican Pat Buchanan for president in the 2000 campaign are false. She worked for conservative Republican Steve Forbes.

The incorrect reports stem from an Associated Press story on July 17, 1999, that said Palin was "among those sporting Buchanan buttons" at a lunch for Buchanan attended by about 85 people, during a swing he took through Fairbanks and Wasilla. Buchanan didn't help matters when he told a reporter for the liberal publication The Nation on Aug. 29: "I'm pretty sure she's a Buchananite." But in fact, she wasn't.

Soon after The AP story appeared, Palin wrote in a letter to the editor of the Anchorage Daily News that she had merely worn a Buchanan button as a courtesy to her visitor and was not endorsing him. The letter, published July 26, 1999, said:

Palin, July 26, 1999: As mayor of Wasilla, I am proud to welcome all presidential candidates to our city. This is true regardless of their party, or the latest odds of their winning. When presidential candidates visit our community, I am always happy to meet them. I'll even put on their button when handed one as a polite gesture of respect.

Though no reporter interviewed me for the Associated Press article on the recent visit by a presidential candidate (Metro, July 17), the article may have left your readers with the perception that I am endorsing this candidate, as opposed to welcoming his visit to Wasilla. As mayor, I will welcome all the candidates in Wasilla.

Palin actually worked for Forbes. Less than a month after being spotted wearing the "courtesy" button for Buchanan, she was named to the state leadership committee of the Forbes effort. The Associated Press reported on Aug. 7, 1999:

The Associated Press, Aug. 7 1999: State Sen. Mike Miller of Fairbanks will head the Alaska campaign chairman for Republican presidential candidate Steve Forbes, campaign officials said. Joining the Fairbanks Republican on the leadership committee will be Wasilla Mayor Sarah Palin, and former state GOP chairman Pete Hallgren, who will serve as co-chairs.

Still, after nine years, the truth has yet to catch up completely.

No Creationism in Schools

On Aug. 29, the Boston Globe reported that Palin was open to teaching creationism in public schools. That's true. She supports teaching creationism alongside evolution, though she has not actively pursued such a policy as governor.

In an Oct. 25, 2006, debate, when asked about teaching alternatives to evolution, Palin replied:

Palin, Oct. 25, 2006: Teach both. You know, don't be afraid of information. Healthy debate is so important and it's so valuable in our schools. I am a proponent of teaching both. And you know, I say this too as the daughter of a science teacher. Growing up with being so privileged and blessed to be given a lot of information on, on both sides of the subject – creationism and evolution. It's been a healthy foundation for me. But don't be afraid of information and let kids debate both sides.

A couple of days later, Palin amended that statement in an interview with the Anchorage Daily News, saying:

Palin, Oct. 2006: I don't think there should be a prohibition against debate if it comes up in class. It doesn't have to be part of the curriculum.

After her election, Palin let the matter drop. The Associated Press reported Sept 3: "Palin's children attend public schools and Palin has made no push to have creationism taught in them. ... It reflects a hands-off attitude toward mixing government and religion by most Alaskans." The article was headlined, "Palin has not pushed creation science as governor." It was written by Dan Joling, who reports from Anchorage and has covered Alaska for 30 years.

That E-mail Author

Switching gears: Almost 100 readers have written to ask us if the many claims made about Palin in an e-mail written by someone named Anne Kilkenny are true. We can tell you that Kilkenny is a real person. (She was quoted by the Chicago Tribune, as we said above.) According to the New York Times, she’s a Democrat. According to Kilkenny herself, Palin “has hated me since back in 1996, when I was one of the 100 or so people who rallied to support the City Librarian against Sarah’s attempt at censorship."

We’re still analyzing Kilkenny’s claims, and we will be posting something on this soon.

—by Brooks Jackson, Jessica Henig, Emi Kolawole, Joe Miller and Lori Robertson

Sources

Sutton, Anne. Palin as low on experience -- even while claiming that McCain now has no business questioning the credentials and experience of Obama.

With independent voters, Obama has two large risks in trying to push this point.

First, on the experience issue, Gov. Palin seems to have Sen. Obama beat. While she is young, three years junior of even Obama, she already has more years of public service than Obama. Further, she actually has executive experience - something Obama and Biden both lack. She also has accomplishments in the areas of ethics, energy and tax policy reform, and even running a private business. She governs the largest land-mass of any U.S. State, and more public land than any other state, and has experience commanding the Armed Forces of Alaska and dealing with foreign borders with Russia and Canada - again both Obama and Biden lack experience in all these areas. Last year alone she implemented a $40 billion natural gas project to bring needed alternative energy sources to the United States. Something that Obama and Biden could only dream of.

The net of all this is that if Obama thinks he is now clear of examination on his lack of experience - he is in for a rude awakening. Palin, as young a woman as she is, only makes Obama's lack of experience and lack of concrete accomplishments even more glaring. Instead of taking away this argument from McCain, it strengthens McCain's argument against Obama.

Second, Obama, by discounting the accomplishments of Palin, risks turning himself into yet another man dismissive of women. Obama's treatment of Hillary Clinton during the past year's primary campaign was sexist and dismissive of women. He already has demonstrated his lack of concern for women. The Democrats, and Obama, risk that the legacy they earn this year is one of disrespect of talented, motivated women.

Finally, Gov Palin's family focused goals, her life respecting outlook, her independent spirit, her willingness to go after public corruption in her own party, her willingness to take on the powerful oil industry in Alaska, and her view that public service is to get things done - not play things safe, can only serve to get the attention of voters like me, who will vote for either party, if they convince me they are going to work for us regular people, and actually get something done. Gov. The result: Governor Sarah Palin is now a media sensation the likes of which haven't been seen in years. The Republican party is energized and even Democrats are rushing to Governor Palin's rescue.

The question is why is the press so biased? It isn't a new accusation but until now it was easy to over look. Is the media just trying to sell papers, drum up viewers or are they actually trying to influence the American public? Since when is it ok for the press to manufacture news? I am now beginning to understand why there are rules limiting the number of stations/ newspapers any one person can control in any one market. These rules have been relaxed in recent years. Now it seems that there is a good cause to reverse those changes.

Sarah Palin - What are they saying now?

No one has energized the world press than Governor Sarah Palin. She was an unknown and a stunning pick by John McCain surprising the news media, supporters and Democrats alike. She is just another example of how willing John McCain is to make significant gambles to shake up Washington.

Governor Palin's speech last night was unbelievable and has gotten excellent marks by both the left and the right. Governor Palin showed the world that she is no shrinking violet and only fools will under estimate her. After days of a media feeding frenzy attacking her and her family, the truth is finally out! She is the real deal. The media in its knee jerk reaction to publish everything and anything they had on her. Where they lacked facts they fabricated them. Were they lacked criticism of her they attacked her family in one of the most shameful attacks of a candidate's family in recent memory. She was even criticized for having her family on stage as if that now makes them fair game. Even senior aids of Hillary Clinton have come to her rescue saying she is being treated unfairly. Click here for the story

Even if the US liberal media wont give her a fair shake the international press is embracing her calling her "the tipping point for the US election" . I just wanted
> to pass along that Senator Obama came to Bagram Afghanistan
> for about an hour on his visit to "The War Zone".
> I wanted to share with you what happened. He got off the
> plane and got into a bullet proof vehicle, got to the area
> to meet with the Major General (2 Star) who is the
> commander here at Bagram. As the Soldiers where lined up to
> shake his hand he blew them off and didn't say a word as
> he went into the conference room to meet the General. As he
> finished, the vehicles took him to the ClamShell (pretty
> much a big top tent that military personnel can play
> basketball or work out in with weights) so he could take
> his publicity pictures playing basketball. He again shunned
> the opportunity to talk to Soldiers to thank them for their
> service. So really he was just here to make a showing for
> the American's back home that he is their candidate for
> President. I think that if you are going to make an
> effort to come all the way over here you would thank those
> that are providing the freedom that they are providing for
> you.
>
> I swear we got more thanks from the NBA Basketball Players
> or the Dallas Cowboy Cheerleaders than from one of the
> Senators, who wants to be the President of the United
> States. I just don't understand how anyone would want
> him to be our Commander-and-Chief. It was almost that he
> was scared to be around those that provide the freedom for
> him and our great country. If this is blunt and to the
> point I am sorry but I wanted you all to know what kind of
> caliber of person he really is. What you see in the news is
> all fake.
>
> In service,
>
> CPT Jeffrey
> Battle Captain
> TF Wasatch
> American Soldier
>

Can Barack Obama Leagally be President?

Subject: CAN OBAMA LEGALLY BE PRESIDENT?

It seems that Barack Obama is not qualified to be president after all
for the following reasons:

Barack Obama is not legally a U.S. natural-born citizen according to
the law on the books at the time of his birth, which falls between
'December 24, 1952 to November 13, 1986.' Presidential office requires

a natural-born citizen if the child was not born to two U.S. citizen parents,

which of course is what exempts John McCain though he was born in the

Panama Canal, US Law very clearly stipulates: 'if only one parent was a

U.S. citizen at the time of your birth, that parent must have resided in the

United States for at least ten years, at least five of which had to be after the age
of 16.' Barack Obama's father was not a U.S. citizen and Obama's mother was

only 18 when Obama was born, which means though she had been a U.S.
citizen for 10 years, (or citizen perhaps because of Hawaii being a territory)
the mother fails the test for being so for at least 5 years **prior to**
Barack Obama's birth, but *after* age 16. It doesn't matter *after*.

In essence, she was not old enough to qualify her son for automatic U.S.
citizenship. At most, there were only 2 years elapsed since his mother turned

16 at the time of Barack Obama's birth when she was 18 in Hawaii. His mother

would have needed to have been 16+5= 21 years old, at the time of Barack
Obama's birth for him to have been a natural-born citizen. As aforementioned,
she was a young college student at the time and was not. Barack Obama was
already 3 years old at that time his mother would have needed to have
waited to have him as the only U.S. Citizen parent. Obama instead should have
been naturalized, but even then, that would still disqualify him from
holding the office.

*** Naturalized citizens are ineligible to hold the office of President. ***

Though Barack Obama was sent back to Hawaii at age 10, all the other
info does not matter because his mother is the one who needed to have been a
U.S. citizen for 10 years prior to his birth on August 4, 1961, with 5 of
those years being after age 16. Further, Obama may have had to have remained
in the country for some time to protect any citizenship he would have had,
rather than living in Indonesia. Now you can see why Obama's aides
stopped his speech about how we technically have more than 50 states, because

it would have led to this discovery. This is very clear cut and a blaring
violation of U.S. election law. I think the Gov. of California would be
very interested in knowing this if Obama were elected President without being
a natural-born U.S. citizen, and it would set precedence. Stay tuned to
your TV sets because I suspect some of this information will be leaking
through over the next several days.

This is an email credited to:
Thomas Sowell
The Hoover Institution
Stanford University
Stanford, California 94305

I cannot say if it is or is not legit.
